General Information

The School of Foreign Languages ​​was established by the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2010/103 published in the Official Gazette dated February 26, 2010 and numbered 27505.

Preparatory Program

Mandatory English, German and Russian preparatory programs are carried out in our school, as stipulated by higher education institutions. The aim of the preparatory program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to use the language effectively in their academic, professional and social lives.

Compulsory and Elective Foreign Language Courses

Compulsory foreign language courses within the scope of subparagraph (i) of Article 5 of Law No. 2547 and other foreign language courses included in the curriculum of associate and undergraduate programs are carried out by our school.

Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language

In our school, a Turkish teaching program was applied to foreign students between 2013 and 2018.

YLSY Foreign Language Teaching

Within the scope of the law numbered 1416, the Ministry of National Education sends students with official-scholarship status to pursue graduate education in order to meet the needs of higher education institutions' teaching staff and public institutions and organizations' expert personnel. Our school was among the educational institutions that carried out the English education program for these students for the first time in 2010. In 2011, with the undertaking of teaching German, it has succeeded in being the only institution that continues teaching in both languages.

ÖYP Foreign Language Teaching

Between 2010 and 2016, our school continued the language training of research assistants appointed by the Higher Education Institution in accordance with Article 33/a of the Higher Education Law.
