English Program Preparation Commission

  • The Process of Preparing the Curriculum
  1. Preparing Student Information Booklet and Instructor Information Presentation,
  2. Planning and organizing different educational activities for students (presentation, competition, etc.)
  3. Determining the acquisitions for Language Proficiency Levels (A1-B2) based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages,
  4. To determine the teaching materials suitable for the determined acquisitions,
  5. To determine the new “Vocabulary and Grammar” content to be taught in order to realize the acquisitions for Language Proficiency Levels (A1-B2),
  6. Placing the Vocabulary and Grammar content determined for language levels into the units included in the course materials to be used,
  7. To prepare the Curriculum, which includes the dates and numbers of the follow-up exams and the end-of-course proficiency exams, for the implementation of the planned curriculum during the academic year,
  8. Archiving all the work done according to the years,
  9. Keeping the minutes of the meetings held, and archiving them in the database in a way that the management can access,

The Process of Execution of the Curriculum

  1. Determining the list of achievements for the measurement tools determined within the curriculum and sharing it with the Exam Preparation Committee,
  2. To hold periodic subject-oriented meetings with the lecturers during the course of the curriculum,
  3. Revising the program in cases deemed necessary during the process and informing the instructors.

Evaluation of the Teaching Process

  1. To take the necessary measures to complete the missing achievements by reviewing the curriculum,
  2. To determine the issues that are not specified in the job description, but which are deemed necessary to be included, and make suggestions for inclusion in the job description.

English Exam Preparation Commission

  • To determine the appropriate measurement tools for all levels of the curriculum prepared by the 1st Program Preparation Commission,
  1. To develop measurement tools suitable for the acquisition characteristics of language levels,
  2. To determine the evaluation criteria for the measurement tools to be applied in the exams,
  3. In order to evaluate the prepared exams in terms of their suitability for the achievements in the curriculum, to take the opinion of the official in charge of the Program Preparation Commission and to make the necessary changes.
  4. Determining the issues that are not specified in the job description but deemed necessary to be included, and making suggestions for inclusion in the job description,
  5. Participating in periodic meetings and working in cooperation with the Program Preparation Commission,
  6. To prepare exam instructions that include the principles for the conduct of exams,
  7. To prepare the necessary announcements about the exams to be held and to inform the administration,
  8. To take the necessary measures for the exams prepared and to be applied,
  9. To print the exams and distribute them with the minutes, by obtaining the approval of the authorized person determined by the administration regarding the content of the exams,
  10. To monitor and manage the exams to be held,
  11. Notifying the administration in writing of the exam organization, the layout of the hall, and the negativities that arise in terms of the student,
  12. After the exam, by taking the exam documents in line with the minutes, according to the way of evaluation of the exam (optical form or performance evaluation etc.),

– Delivering a report to the Evaluation Commission responsible,

- Delivering minutes to the pre-determined instructors

- To take the necessary measures for the evaluation of all the exams at the School by the instructors,

  1. Archiving all the work done in a common database in a way that the management can access over the years,
  2. Archiving the meeting minutes.

Evaluation Commission

  • Introducing optical forms suitable for the 1st exam format to the system,
  1. *To score the optical forms of Foreign Language Preparatory Program exams, which include multiple-choice items and applied using optical form, and Foreign Language Level Determination and Proficiency, Exemption from Compulsory Foreign Language Courses, Exchange Programs (Erasmus-Mevlana) Foreign Language exams applied throughout our university, with technological means. ,
  2. To ensure the security of all exam documents received from the Exam Preparation Committee and not to share any information with unauthorized persons,
  3. To report the applied exams according to level, branch and general success status, if any,
  4. Sharing the results of the analysis with the instructors, if possible,
  5. To report the results of the relevant report to the Program Preparation Committee and the Exam Preparation Commission, and to deliver these studies to the administration,
  6. Archiving all the work done,

* If there are related exams, the evaluation process of the sections that require subjective evaluation such as Speaking/Writing is carried out separately by the instructors in charge.
